This site is under redesign. We apologise for the construction dust.
The land that Keal Cotes occupies has been inhabited since pre-historic times (no surviving photos to post, sorry). The Romans came here for a few hundred years in the first century AD, leaving in the fourth sometime after draining our fens. They kindly left us a Villa to the south of the village (partially excavated in the 1960′s).
The longest stood building in the village was built in the 16th century and our local pub, The Coach House, has been around since the 1700′s, in one form or another.
